Life in the day of a School Manager

2012-05-10 10:11 by Graham Meadows (comments: 0)

Trying to organise Dale’s business trip to Germany next week to present to all the seasonal staff about the academic set up.

Charlotte, part owner, is down for her weekly visit about the run up to the summer. All is going smoothly for the moment. Homestay placements are going well according to the welfare officer who was pleased she had placed the Chinese juniors.

The teachers attended a training session last night. It was how more vocabulary should be taught in class, memorised and connections made between words. Students then feel they are learning more since many grammar items they have seen before – interesting.

Claire has been creating an electronic application form for agents to complete. The idea is that an electronic form keeps the form in the original format and can’t be tampered with. Another improvement to the Europa School administrative procedures.

The staff have a night out next week at a new restaurant in town where you can eat as much as you want and taste a variety of different foods from around the world.
