Our English summer courses for families are the perfect solution for you!
Your child or your children will participate in a summer English course with fellow students from many different countries. Of course, there will be English lessons in the morning and supervised activities in the afternoon.
You will attend a General, Intensive or Business English Course in the morning. In the afternoon, you can spend some time with your children or take the opportunity to have some time by yourselves.
Our summer English courses for families are on offer in Teignmouth - a peaceful and secure seaside resort situated on the Devon coast, just a short bus ride from Torquay and the English Riviera – and in Exeter, the capital of Devon known for plenty of shops, cafés, bars, and fast-food restaurants in and around the historic town centre, which is dominated by Exeter‘s magnificent 13th century cathedral.

General English Course: 15 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
Lessons normally take place from Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 11:45. Each of the three morning lessons focuses on a specific area of language learning: grammar and language work, reading and listening, or communicative activities and speaking practice. Our aim is to provide you with the vocabulary and grammar required for effective communication and particular attention is paid to improving speaking and listening skills.
Intensive English Course: 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
The Intensive Course consists of the General English Course plus an additional lesson per day (11.45 -12.30) in which key areas of language learning are practised in more depth.
Playschool for children aged 6-9 (only on offer in Teignmouth):
Supervised activities in the mornings. This allows you take part in our
language courses whilst your children will play with other children of
their age and learn some English vocabulary in a playful way.
English language courses for parents
General English Course with 15 lessons (x 45 mins) per week

General English Course with 20 lessons (x 45 mins) per week
Besides the above mentioned 15 lessons, you will get an additional lesson per day (11.45 -12.30) in which key areas of language learning are practised in more depth.
Business English Course with 25 lessons (x 45 mins) per week (only on offer in Exeter)
You will follow the General English course for three lessons and you’ll get two additional lessons per day in a smaller group (max. of 5 students). In these lessons subjects regarding business English, such as presentations, meetings, negotiations, conferences, letters, etc will be covered.
Accommodation and Meal Plan
For parents: Bed & Breakfast accommodation in an English guesthouse in a single, double, twin or family room with en-suite toilet and shower facilities.
First option for children: They live together with you in the guesthouse and have breakfast there. Lunch and dinner will be provided on the campus.
Second option for children: Your children are accommodated on campus on a full-board basis while you stay in the guesthouse.
No matter which option you choose, you decide whether you spend the afternoon and evening together with your children or whether your children should join our Activity Programme.

General information
Our summer English courses for families are suitable for children aged 10-15 in Teignmouth (with morning activities for children aged 6-9) and 10-17 in Exeter. Accommodation can also be provided for additional family members, but at least one child and one parent have to attend an English language course.
