Teachers – Summer Centres (June, July and August)

We are currently looking for appropriately qualified TEFL teachers for our junior summer centres in Chichister, Exeter, Exmouth, Teignmouth, Bournemouth, Bognor Regis and Winchester.  Candidates must be qualified to a level recognised by the British Council (CELTA or CertTESOL).

Teachers

You will be working within a small team of dedicated teachers teaching young people from all over the world. You will be provided with our full support including teachers’ handbooks, daily lesson plans and access to teaching resources. This job will be an excellent opportunity for professional development since we revise our syllabus every year to implement up-to-date EFL methodology. You can choose to teach 3 or 4 lessons a day.

Your main tasks:

  • attending an induction session before the courses start
  • following the syllabus and using the materials you have been given
  • delivering exciting lessons with the use of IT resources provided in every centre
  • showing enthusiasm and motivating students to learn English and aspects of UK culture
  • reporting absences, disruptive behaviour problems to the Lead Teacher
  • sharing ideas with other teachers in a supportive and friendly atmosphere
  • completing a class register for each group with records of student attendance
  • completing course certificates

Your profile:

  • you must be qualified to a level recognised by the British Council
  • basic IT skills – ability to use online resources in class
  • enthusiasm and good classroom management skills
  • open-mindedness and willingness to implement innovative techniques in the classroom

Conditions:

  • 2 to 10-week contracts
  • 15 to 20 lessons per week between 9:00 am and 12:30 pm from Monday to Friday

 

Welfare Officer - Bognor Regis (for summer season only)

We are currently looking for a welfare officer for our summer centres in Bognor Regis.  The ideal candidates will be organized, hard working and able to prioritise effectively.  You will be in charge of recruiting and then allocating students to appropriate host familes in the designated towns and managing any difficulties as they arise during the summer season.  Please send your CV to claire@europa-school.co.uk

Summer jobs for Centres in the UK and in Europe (Jobs between March and October)

You would like to work in the UK, France or in Germany. We offer you a job as IP Centre Manager, IP Centre Administrator, IP Programme Organizer, IP Activity Teacher.

IP Centre Manager (CM)

As Centre Manager you are responsible for the overall running of the Camp-life. If you already gained experience in leaderships, if you are between 25 and 35 years old and if you are available for the whole summer season, this could be the right job for you. We require a very high level of service quality, no matter if you work in Germany, France, Spain or England. For each country you have to speak the national language fluently. The job of a Centre Manager is a big challenge and could be a great chance for you this summer!

Your tasks

  • overall running of the centre
  • assuring the fulfilment of an activity programme which corresponds to quality standards
  • team management with daily team meetings
  • delegating and supervision of team members
  • running the welcome meetings
  • customer relationship management
  • complaint management
  • representative tasks within the destination
  • organisational tasks
  • reporting to “Head Office”
  • cooperation with partners within the destination

IP Centre Administrator (CA)

Centre Administrators are responsible for numbers, keys and lists. If you have experience in administration and you love working with Excel - this is your chance! As a reliable person with good communication skills you need to bring some patience. Together with the Centre Manager and the Program Organizer you are one of the management team members with some responsibilities during the whole summer season. No matter if you work in Germany, England, France or Spain we require a high level of service quality!

Your tasks

  • administrative and organizational tasks
  • management of a cash account
  • interpretation and utilization of specific data which is relevant for the running of the centre
  • room allocation to fulfil customers´ requests
  • transferring exact numbers of students to partners and head offices e. g. for meals as basis for invoicing
  • organization of evening events and trips
  • yield management of our trips and handling of the triplist
  • preparing welcome packs and print materials
  • keeping head offices informed regarding accommodation requirements
  • cooperating with welfare officers and other relevant personnel
  • purchase of materials corresponding to budgets
  • taking part in team meetings
  • supporting the Centre Manager and the team
  • assisting students when needed
  • participation in programmed events when possible

Your profile

  • work experience in tourism or in other commercial fields (internships, apprenticeship, etc.) and basic understanding of commercial matters
  • Microsoft Office knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel)

IP Programme Organizer (PRO)

Creative, outgoing, animative? All these characteristics fit to a Program Organizor. Ideally you already gained experience in animation of children and teens with excellent communication skills. It is your responsibility to provide a creative, active leisure program for all students which you implement together with the Supervisors. Teamwork is therefore really important although you should act as head of Supervisors. No matter if you work in England, France or Spain we require a high level of service quality which you should transfer.

Your tasks

  • planning, organisation and implementation of activities according to quality standards
  • coordination of different activities offered like sports, health and fitness, creative workshops, evening activities etc.
  • management of the sport equipment and games
  • marketing and sales of excursions
  • training of tour guides
  • supervision of trip contents
  • supporting the team in running the activities

IP Activity Teacher (AT)

You are either a schoolteacher, a trainee teacher or you are studying teaching? Your subjects are languages like English, French, German or Spanish as mother tongue and you are looking for a job during the school holidays? You may be a foreign language assistant and would like to extend your teaching experience within an international environment? This job is more than teaching because it will involve the supervision of young people during their free time as well. Compared to the IP Lead Teacher who works with German students you will teach International students in Germany. Possible places of work are Oberwesel, Diez, Schierke, Todtmoos, Bremerhaven, Augsburg, Milow and Barcelona in Spain.

Your tasks

  • classical teaching of your mother tongue German, English, French or Spanish
  • course management with preparation of classes for different levels
  • documentation of lessons and students´ attendance
  • evaluation of students´ language knowledge
  • preparation of certificates and documentation of grades
  • supervision of international students during their stay abroad
  • accompanying and supervision students during excursions and activities
  • preparation and implementation of an activity programme
  • check in and out of students
